Iceland has some amazing and challenging Golf courses throughout Iceland That offer a varied array of different style of 9 and 18 hole courses.
Icelandic’s have enjoyed the wonderful game of golf for many years with the first official golf club being formed in 1934. The official Golf Association of Iceland was formed in 1942.
One of the main highlights of the golfing season is the Annual Midnight Golf Open Tournament which is held at the FLUDIR golf course, located nearby the village Fludir in the middle of Southern section of Iceland. Playing golf within the lava fields, whilst enjoying the surreal feeling of knowing you are teeing off in the middle of the night.
Any of the 65 course scatter around Iceland offer breath taking mountain views with many being situated on coastal areas therefore offering magical ocean surroundings.
